Description

There are currently no tests in place, which is not ideal.

We should add test coverage for what is already there and any new features will need to be fully tested before they are accepted.

Research direction
The issue requests adding test coverage to the d3act library. Start by setting up a testing framework such as Jest and React Testing Library.
